Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCARMEN BUTTERS Carmen passed away at the age of 56 years on Sunday, September 16, 2007. She is survived by her loving family; daughter Elaine, sons, Joeal, Jamie, Gregory, and Douglas; granddaughters, Meagan and Emma; ex-husband Edward Butters; sisters, Leticia and Carmelita; brother Dion; nieces and nephews; sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws in Vancouver, Winnipeg and the Philippines. Carmen was born in Manila, Philippines on January 5, 1951 and moved to Winnipeg when she was 21 where she was employed by CP Rail. Carmen enjoyed a rewarding and busy life raising her family. She then moved with her family to the Philippines for five years before they decided to settle in Vancouver where she was employed with BC Hydro. Carmen was a very strong and independent woman; she battled cancer for two years and died with dignity and peace. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 21, 2007 at Holy Name Catholic Church, 4925 Cambie Street, Vancouver, Fr. Joseph P. Nguyen celebrant.
